UAE Visa System: Changes in Rules and Increase in Fees for Exit and Validity
The United Arab Emirates has implemented new rules regarding the visa process through the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP).
These changes have resulted in an increase in fees for Emirates ID, visit, and residency visas in the country.
Increase in Fees
The fees for Emirates ID, visit, and residency visas have been increased. This fee will be applicable on all types of services issued by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP).
Emirates ID which earlier cost Dh270 will now cost Dh370. And a one-month visa will cost Dh370 instead of Dh270.
New Rule for Visit Visa Holders
As per the new rule, visit visa holders can no longer extend the limit of their visit visa while residing in UAE.
They are now required to exit the UAE and re-enter with a new visit visa. This rule applies to all individuals holding a visit visa in the UAE.
Mandatory Fine for Overstaying
It is now mandatory for individuals who overstay their visa to pay a fine.
These individuals will need an out pass or leave permit to exit UAE. This out pass is mandatory during exit from Dubai.
The changes in the UAE visa system along with the increase in fees for exit and validity are aimed at streamlining the visa process and ensuring compliance with the laws and regulations of the country.
These changes are expected to improve the overall experience for individuals visiting or residing in UAE.
